Nicole Kadar-Greene, originally from Waterbury, CT, graduated magna cum-laude with Honors in Dance while also studying Early Childhood Education and Business at Skidmore College. Here, she received the Katherine Scranton Rozendall Citizenship Award, which is awarded for outstanding citizenship in the college community. Under the direction of Kathleen Isaac, Nicole completed her MA in Dance Education (summa cum-laude) as a scholarship student at Hunter College’s Arnhold Graduate Dance Education Program. While at Hunter she was invited to from her evening length premiere of come, stay, go at the ribbon cutting ceremony of The Jody, a space that doubles as a studio and performance space and honors Jody Arnhold's contributions to dance education.

Nicole has worked with choreographers Robert Battle, Camille A. Brown, Nicole Corea, Teresa Fellion, Ruben Graciani, Erica Pujic, Jenny Rocha, Tamara Saari and Melissa Riker, as well as directors Samantha Shay of Hopelandic Theatre Co. and Greg Taubman of Extant Arts Co. She is currently working as a freelance dancer with the Matthew Westerby Company and Valerie Green/Dance Entropy.

In addition to performing, Nicole has a passion for teaching. She has been on faculty at Saratoga City Ballet, the National Museum of Dance’s School of the Arts, and Bridge for Dance; she has been a guest teacher at Waterbury Arts’ Magnet School, Brass City Ballet, Saratoga High School for the MOVE Dance Troupe, RIOULT’s Dance School and Skidmore College, her alma mater. She is also a teaching artist for Ailey’s Arts In Education and Community Programs and has taught at several public schools throughout the boroughs. Nicole is on faculty at Ballet and Beyond, The Ailey School, and a dance teacher in New York City Public Schools. Nicole has presented dance-education workshops in various NY schools; this workshop focuses on movement as a universal tool and targeted support for students in a classroom setting.

After earning her master’s degree, Nicole expanded her teaching practices to the elderly population. As a teaching artist Nicole taught SU-CASA residencies in Queens and Manhattan through Dance Entropy and the Alvin Ailey American Dance Foundation’s AIE Senior Program, respectfully. She also earned her own SU-CASA grant in January of 2020.

Nicole also enjoys creating her own work, which has been presented at Triskelion Art’s, The Ailey Studios, the Kaye Theater, Jennifer Muller’s Hatch Series, Queensboro Dance Festival, and Culture Lab, LIC. Under the fiscal sponsorship of Fractured Atlas in 2018 she created NK&D / a movement company - a company that focuses on bringing accessible dance to diverse audiences. When she isn’t dancing or teaching she spends time with her curious twins and her supportive husband. She self-produced "between the balance" in 2021 with the support of Queens Council of the Arts Grant and in kind-donations from Goddard Riverside Community Center for the Arts and Culture Lab, LIC.
